15" Spalted Maple Wood Bowl - Peterman's Boards and Bowls

Spalted maple doesn’t hide its history. The pale base is crossed with dark tracings, fine lines, and swirls that look drawn by hand. No two bowls carry the same map — each one shifts with the way the wood itself began to change. In a round profile, the markings run smooth and bold, keeping the balance between everyday use and natural artistry.

Each piece is hand-turned in Gill, Massachusetts, from maple logs that would otherwise be left behind. The interiors are sanded and sealed with a food-safe oil, the wood’s natural character left intact. What you hold is reclaimed, refined, and meant to be used every day.
